3D Printed Gear Indicator

Rationale for design: Made to replace the commonly failing nylon shifting ball joint found in all BMWs’ and to add instantaneous gear feedback to the driver. This is to help with super short throw gearboxes lever setups.

Shifting mechanically designed to work in junction with or without reverse lock out mechanism.

Overall assembly requires no drilling or modification of chassis or shifting lever hole.

Main body material: 3D Printed Stainless Steel 316.
Shift lever material: Aluminium 7075-T6
Sensor type: Magnetic Hall Effect (12-bit sensor resolution). No wear, non-vibration sensitive.
Bearing type(s): 2X 25x37x7 (6805-2R2) & 2X 6x12x4(MR126-2RS).
